[mood| crappy]

Today was an unlucky day for driving.

There was a hole on the ground, on my way to work. I didn't see it, and ran over it. One of the hubcap for my car flew away. It was on the highway so I don't have the courage to actually stop and go across the street to get it.

On the way home, the car next to me apparently did not look and signal. He changed lane, and nearly crashed into my car. Luckily, he didn't but the damage was done and there was a 5 inches scratch on the mirror of the car. Anyways, he drove off, so... Well, the damage wasn't too bad, but.... still.

After I was safely in my room, my mom told me that the metal part of the wheel (that lost the hubcap) was slightly bent. So.. yea..

Wonderful day!

On May 26th, there's going to be a Vietnam Japan music concert, celebrating the anniversaries of diplomatic ties between the two countries. This concert will contains Japanese as well as Vietnamese singers. I'm not really interested in the Vietnamese singers, since I don't listen to Vietnamese music, but, W-inds is going to be there, also, Akikawa Masafumi (famous for his instant famous Kohaku song), and Natsukawa Miri (who sings the Nada Sou Sou song that became a movie.

Thanks to my uncle great connections, I'm going to be going with my little cousin. Yay.

Other than that, I was sick the second week I was here, so pretty much, the whole week of my Hue trip is spent on my hotel bed.

Bought a few manga sets. Need more! :3

[mood| bitchy]

So today was the last day of Biochem and Animation. I do not like Biochem, and I don't think I'll ever will. Animation, on the other hand, is a mixture of hard works and fun. It almost make me want to change my major to ATEC. Anyways, I felt kind of left out of the ATEC (arts and technology) people, now that my animation class is finished. *sad*

more stuffs )

Last season was kind of meh. But Bara no nai Hanaya is the highlight of the season. Shizuku-chan is soooooo adorable. The characters and story are very good as well. Definitely must watch.

I also enjoy a bit of 1 Pound no Fukuin. I guess I still like Kame after all, even though Sapuri and Tatta Hitotsu no Koi was a bit boring.

Currently watching Binbo Danshi and 4 Shimai Tantei Dan as subs are out. They are alright. I want to watch Daisuki though... :x And I gave up watching Honey and Clover. ^^;; While watching it I usually don't feel very bored, but whenever I think about I feel bored. =_=;;

This season (was it Summer?), I'll probably watch Gokusen 3 (because it's Gokusen), CHANGE (KimuTaku, and story sound interesting), Last Friends (Eita, Ueno Juri), and Puzzle 2008 (Ishihara Satomi, Yamamoto Yusuke, Eita's brother XDD;;).

Tired of piling homeworks due to procrastination. Yay!

My left leg hurt for some reason, but it's getting better now.

Only a month left of school. D: So fast!

I want to go to my friend's graduation, but I just remembered that I'm going to be in Vietnam then. :(

[mood| depressed]

I feel like I really want to kicked myself.

Saturday was bad. I wasn't able to volunteer due to personal circumstances. It turns out nobody except me volunteered. I ended up feeling guilty and bad the whole day.

I had an eye check on Monday, and I think I somehow ended up pissing off my optometrist. D: I'm getting contacts. I'm still in my "observation" week, and I already felt that it's a waste of money and time. Those cleaning solutions are so expensive, and we have to replace the cases every 3 months. And the case itself costs $5. I think I'll just stick to the cheap kind thank you very much. D: And it takes a minimum of 5 minutes to put on and take off contacts, instead of a few seconds of putting your glasses on. :x It's a waste of time.

Thursday was my Biochem exam, and my animation project. I spent my Wednesday doing those, as well and doing my Japanese homeworks. D: The homework took up most of my time, which caused me less exam study time. D: I didn't have enough sleep and was cranky on Thursday. I did horrible on the exam........ ;_; I ended up snapping at my mom later, and I feel guilty now. D:

Today, I overslept and woke up exactly 11:25, which is only 5 minutes before class started. =_=;; I did contemplate on skipping which I didn't have to drive myself to school, but I remembered that I need to turn in my homeworks today. D: I ended up driving to school anyways, and even though I did miss class, I was able to turn in my homeworks. :< Got home to find my brother, who came home at the same time. He told me that he's now laid off due to insufficient works. The news was pretty bad as it is, but we'll probably need to lay off on the internet and satellite and phone for a while since my brother is in charge of those. :x Which is ok, but my brother is unsure if he's able to make it to the trip to Vietnam. =_=;; If he's not going, there's really no point for me in going.

So I was told that I'm AED member of the month on Friday...... What?! Really, I not sure how the whole thing work, but I was really surprised because I hardly did anything that's worth recognitions. It'd been 3 days, and the whole thing still puzzled me. But... I'm getting a new free AED T-shirt. Yay! ^^;;

continue to gloat.. X3 )

Currently playing Professor Layton and the Curious Village(ds). Some of the puzzles are so hard! >_<;; I'm the worst at those divide a X quarts into two equal amount of liquids. D: But it's pretty funny how I always get the right answers right after I check the hint, which I already know it by hearts because they always say the same thing. I always give this wide goofy grin while they did the pondering thing to see it the answer was right or not, hoping they will also ended up smiling. lol. The puzzles are interesting though. I love the character designs and the town designs. And the animations are really well done. Luke and Flora (or whatever her name is) is so cute! :3

I finally figured out to to save it as a avi file. :)

This is the project that was due last week and continuously giving me stress. As you can tell, I got lazy/bored right after the tadpole part, so the rest are pretty choppy. :P If only I didn't care much about adding actions, then the whole thing wouldn't probably be as bad as it is. :/

It's supposed to be looped, so... I think it looks better as looped.

[mood| grumpy]

Well, it's nothing really important in it, just my paper craft collection and digidoujin drafts, which I already have them backed up.. But it's 1gb!! D: You can put in a lot of things in 1 gig. D: Not only that, I got it for free as well from my brother. :/ It might had accidentally fall out when I took stuffs out from my backpack. Oh well.

This week was so stressful for me as exams and quizzes were piling up. Not only that, my animation project was giving me such a hard time (stupid frog!!) that I ended up getting lazy on them.

Our animation project was creating a morph, from object A to B to C and then back to A again. My original idea is making a tadpole->frog->frog prince. But it turns out, I cannot draw frog to save my life. And after shooting them with what I had as a test, the animation doesn't turn out to be very good. So that idea was quickly scraped. I then went to the library on Friday to check out books on frogs and birds, with my second idea in mind (tadpole->frog->bird). I worked on them on Saturday and Sunday night. I spent too much time doing the action sequences that the morphs itself came out crappy. I ended up getting lazy and was all "forget this.." in the end. So my morph project ended up being crappy. D: Now the funny thing is that, mine was apparently the most worked on. Gosh, I HATE it when I am a competitive brat. Why didn't I save myself the trouble, or the tree's lives, and make it simple!! SIMPLE!! While I might get some "ooh ah" looks during the critique, I felt like punch myself in the face. All that stress wasn't needed after all. Just to show you, simple is the best, and less is still more.

My first Japanese exam was this week, and I'm disappointed to say, while it's in the As percentile, my mark wasn't as good as I had like. This is me being competitive again. =_=;;

Biochem exam was today as well. I spent two days working on the study guide, and in the end, it's still not enough. D: See, all that time worrying on my animation should had been used on this exam instead. D:

This is a recurring theme, but I've always find it funny that I usually spent more time on my elective classes than my main classes. =_=;;

Animation had a quiz today as well, and I also spent 2 days reading the book to prepare for it. As expected, I didn't do as well as I'd like. While I might get the idea right, it's just that stupid "correct term" for it that's giving me a hard time. I am horrible at remember names. D:

Due to the influences of my Animation and Japanese classes, I ended up watching a bunch of Studio Ghibli's stuffs. Funny how their stories, setting, characters are all my type. I wasn't aware, despited how weird this sound, Studio Ghibli and I have so much in common. We are totally compatible. Hahaha. Maybe not. But they are really good. I thought I'd seen a good amount of Studio Ghibli stuffs, but I haven't at all. D:

Watching the liveaction of Honey and Clover at the moment. DD: While Takemoto wasn't bad, and Mayama is quite a looker, I didn't really like it at all. The characters lost their awesomeness of the anime. ;____; And I hated how the memorable scene of the anime was glossed over in the drama. I knew this would happen!! That's why I'm against it. D: Oh well, at least Mayama is good. :x I know I shouldn't be comparing the anime with the drama but, can't help it. Apparently they're also going to have a Taiwanese version as well.. *in the back of my mind* NOOOOO~!!

First week of school passed and I'm still in the process of getting use to everything. :/

Classes:
-Japanese: Same class, with slightly different people. It's pretty ok as of far.
-Macroeconomics: The first 2 days was confusing. It's only today that I finally understand a bit. My lecturer is a bit confusing with little examples. I thought it would be an easy class, but I guess not.
-Animation: We each got to bring home a lightbox on the first day. So that's where our $120 went. But we'll still have to return it at the end of the semester. Turns out to be a pretty fun class, just a lot of time's going to have to be put into this since it's 2D traditional animation.
-Biochem: Same old biochem.

I finished the blanket! Apparently, the I-thought-was-going-to-be-my-width turns out to be long enough to become a length. Hehe.. ^^;; Is currently working on something else now.

My mom, brother, and me are going back to Vietnam on May 4th. The week before and after is final exam week, so I guess I'll have to take my exams early. Also since we're coming back June 1st, so I won't be able to go to A-kon. D: Oh well, I take a Vietnam trip over 10 A-kon any day. :P

[mood| disappointed]

Well, now that my break is over and school start tomorrow, I have to sadly say that my break is as unproductive as always. :(

My mom told me she wanted a blanket, so I started to work on it (knitting) at the start of the break. While it did get to a good length, it's still not enough for a blanket. =_=;; I curse at myself all the time for making the width too long but not long enough to become length.

During my knitting time, I also tried to catch up with a few of the dramas:
-Hanazono no Himitsu: it's actually not as bad as I thought. Love the 4 brothers and the guy editor.
-Hanazakari no kimitachi e: Ikemen Paradise: it's ok. I missed Oguri's happier roles. I have to say, I hate the main story (Sano and Mizuki story). The side story about the dorms are the highlight.
-LIFE: GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT drama about bullying. Great, just great! Why didn't anyone tell me about this drama before?? D: I also love the song. My favorite character is Hatori Miki and Anzai Manabi. I want to read the manga now.
-Galileo: Hohoho, I like it, but I was wrong, this drama perhaps wasn't the best drama this season. But I still enjoyed it quite a bit. I could totally see a sequel coming out later, especially with the last episode. If I didn't get curious, and decided to watch the other drama, this will still be top of my favorite drama this season list.
-Iryu 2: since the guys at BON decided to release a bunch of episodes at once, I decided to give this drama a try. The show totally blow me away. Great scripts, character, musics, and suspense. During the exciting parts, I started knitting faster. ^^;; Before I didn't really understand why people like Iryu so much while I thought it was kind of boring. Well, now it's pretty obvious, drama like this, which containing a lot of medical terms, need subtitles to really enjoy it!! Well, now that I'm waiting for more subs from Iryu2, I guess I'll re watch Iryu. This is my favorite show of the season.
-Hana Yori Dango2: Watching LIFE, Galileo, and Iryu2 back to back caused HYD to be pale in comparison. But it's not bad so far. I'm just at the part where Rui confessed his feeling so things are starting to get interesting.

Christmas was as unproductive as always. My friends and I went out to get presents for each others as well as our family during the first two weeks. I still owed one of them a present. :x As I pretty much have everything I need, I didn't really know what I want for Christmas, so my mom and my brother is unable to buy me anything. For some reason, I'm not in the spirit for the holiday like I was the years before. =_=;;

The last week of the year, my aunt, uncle and cousin from California came over to visit us. My cousin and I spent week hang out at home and being bored to death at my other aunt's house while the older folks drive to Houston. We did went out for a day to the mall, watch a movie, and skate. Haven't skate a long time, but luckily, out of all my cousins, I'm the only one that didn't fall. *gloated* We played iSketch as well as Kingdom Hearts2, and messed around with their very loud dogs. The dogs are adorable, but they bites! D:

My cousin and her family went back on the eve of New Year. It was kinda sad. I missed all of them now.

New Year was uneventful, we stay up, but we wasn't really aware of the time since each of us did our own thing. I watched a few Music shows to sample some of the year songs. Also, the Kohaku, and as expected, white won yet again. ^^;; I think 3 times I watch Kohaku, red never won once. :x But some of the songs are great! I love Nakashima Mika's LIFE song, also the collaboration with Ayaka and Kobukuro, as well as many others.

My parents and brother went back to work after New Year. I pretty much slept through the days with the occasional knitting and drama watching.

Now that tomorrow is the first day of school..... T____T;; Ugh

[mood| drained]

Just another week until Thanksgiving, and then I can say adios to two of my most disappointed classes this semester.

Even though I told my self not to watch them, I did it anyways.

Security Police had got to be my most anticipated drama this season, plus it started showing on November 2-3 so the wait was worst. I didn't have time to watch the first episode yet though, but moving on.

The best show this season had got to be Galileo, staring Fukuyama Masaharu (I think this is the same person that have the same song on Oricon top 30 for months straight, and it's still there!) and Shibasaki Kou (Orange Days, Good Luck, etc). The story is about a new detective (Shibasaki Kou) encounter a bunch of mysteries (from the first 3 eps: spontaneous combustion, out of body experiences, ghost). She teamed up with a science professor (Fukuyama) to disprove these as mysteries using science (physics, chemistry galore). This show make me feel smart, hahaha. The show is very interesting, and the chemistry between the leads are great. I've never seen Fukuyama Masaharu act before, but wow, he has a lot of charms, and he's so cool. <3 The guest stars are composed of well known actors/actresses, I was really surprised. This show is really good, I totally recommend it. While ratings never mean anything (glare at all the stupid Johnny dramas that got high ratings), this drama ratings are above the 20s, which really show how good it is. If you don't want to waste your time watching too much drama, WATCH THIS~!

I also watched the first episode of Abarenbo Mama. Aya Ueto's character is the same in Attention Please and many of her other dramas. And the story is similar to At Home Dad (staring Abe Hiroshi) in term of becoming a family person and taking care of a kindergarten kid and kinder-mama internal fights. I have an urge to drop this like the first 5 minutes, but I'll see if I change my mind after the 2nd ep.

Dream Again staring Sorimachi Takashi (GTO), Kato Ai (IWGP, etc), and Shida Mirai (14 sai no haha). About a baseball player wanting to go back pro, but accidently die due to the mistakes of the higher up. So in order to make up to him, god give him a body to live again. The problem is the guy's body that he use has a very different life. Kato Ai, play Soremachi's fiance, hates the guy he borrowed the body from, and Shida Mira played the bratty daughter. While Sorimachi does have some charms that make up for his lack of acting skill, Kato Ai and Shida Mirai get on my nerves. I can't even finish ep2. Many people said this is a comedy, but I didn't find it very funny at all. Well, the Tanaka and Nakata thing was a bit amusing, but this show is really boring.

Yuukan Club really is all eye candies drama. I found Kashii Yu is, as usual, very good, perhaps too good for these crappy stories. I still do not see Akanishi Jin's good point, beside from his good look, he is like the the most boring character out of the 6. But surprisingly, Yokoyama Yu (kanijani8)'s character is good. I like his character. The rest of the cast is not bad, just the story that's degrading the show. But I'll still watch it for Kashii Yu, and the cast didn't annoyed me as much as Dream Again.

Mop Girl was good enough, and it has many funny moments. Keiko wasn't bad with her first drama role. I like the chemistry between Keiko and Tanihara Shosuke. And despite the problems surrounding Sawajiri Erika, the opening song is also very good. It's probably her first drama role, that's why I'm going easy on her. Hahaha.

Btw, next season, they are going to have a HONEY & CLOVER drama!!!!!!!!!!!! I said it to my classmates on Friday, and I'll just say it again. I don't think the drama could be as good as the anime, because the anime was truly great! *__*

Oh by the way, Happy Halloween. :)

I just partially finished writing my two papers from two classes that I would rather not take again, ever. I don't care any more. It's late and I'm brain dead. After taking them for almost 3 months, I have to say, I hate taking Biochem lab and advance writing together. There's just something about it that doesn't go well together at all. I mean, I know people who take a thousand classes per semester, how? How did they do it? Amazing!

I was looking over the schedules for next semester and contemplating on which class I should take. Gosh, why does Japanese and Molcell have to be at the same day and time? We're learning kanji next semester, and I LIKE kanji!! Writing characters is fun! But without Molcell, how can I take Cancer during summer? I don't like cancer, but I like the professor, and it's an easy A. TT___TT;; Graduation seems so far off. My brother told me not to graduate unless I'm absolutely sure what I'm going to do after graduation. And on the flip side, whenever dining out with my parents, the same question always pop up: When am I going to graduate? =_=;; Gosh. I don't think we can take Molcell during summer. *sigh*

why do I need to go to school anyways?

I know plenty of people, that doesn't go to school and still lead a happy life.

(No, that's a lie, almost everyone I know go to school. As for whether they lives are happy or not, I don't really know. Hey, if their life sucks, there's a correlation between school and sucky lives!)

What the point? Money? Knowledge? Even though we still die in the end?

And why must we need to write papers in order to graduate? How can a packet of paper with make believe bs dictates whether we can graduate or not?

Why does life has so many complications? Why can't it be simple like simple math?

Stupid hiv virus.

I dunno why but it's always a time in the year/month/week that everything seems to go against you. And I guess for me, it's the week before Midterm.

Why is there a rule that everything must be due at the exact same time?
